The Original Burger Recipe

Burger Ingredients

 1 pkg. Broad Street Butcher Original Burgers (frozen)

8 slices American cheese

1 red onion, sliced

1 beefsteak tomato, sliced

1 small head green leaf lettuce

1 pkg. brioche burger buns

2 tbsp. burger sauce (recipe below)

Burger Sauce Ingredients

Makes 1 cup

 2/3 cup mayo

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tbsp. sweet relish

Pinch cayenne (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat grill or cast-iron pan to medium heat, 325-350 degrees F. While grill is preheating, make burger sauce: combine all ingredients in a small bowl.

  2. Place raw, frozen burger on hot grill/pan. Once the first side is golden brown and charred, flip the burger to finish cooking on the other side to desired doneness. Top with a slice of cheese for the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. Assemble burgers: Place burgers on bottom bun. Top with sliced red onion, tomato, and green lettuce leaf. Spread burger sauce on the top bun and place on top of the burger. Enjoy!
