Mongolian Beef

Ingredients

2 pieces marinated ribeye flat steak

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 tsp. sesame oil

2 tbsp. sweet rice wine (mirin)

2 tbsp. light brown sugar

1 tbsp. white vinegar

3 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

1” knob of ginger, grated

Sliced scallions for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

White rice for serving

Direactions

  1. Cook the steak according to package instructions.

  2. While the steak is cooking, combine the following ingredients in a small bowl to make the sauce: soy sauce, hoisin, sesame oil, rice wine, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, red pepper flakes, and ginger. Once the steak is cooked, add the sauce to the pan and deglaze the pan. Cook for about 1 minute, then remove the pan from the heat.

  3. Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds and serve over white rice.
